| The shores of Lake Hewea |
Another cool morning leading into a perfect day. Riders departed Wanaka 8am for three majestic hours cycling along Lakes Hawea and Wanaka. Everyone arrived safely and refreshed – almost a recovery ride though there were undulations. No internet at Makaora.
Down the Haast Pass
Easy riding today, though Hazel found the downhill steep and scary. Departed and rode without break to Haast. Staying at Haast Lodge backpackers tonight, all good but no internet access.
